Chris Leigh - Owner/Guitar Instructor/Ensemble Coach.
Chris Leigh has over twenty years of teaching and performing experience.  He teaches all levels of guitar in multiple styles including rock, jazz, blues, and classical.  Chris also teaches bass guitar to the intermediate level.  He coaches weekly jazz, rock, and classical guitar ensembles as well as giving master class workshops on music theory and the proper use of gear and equipment.

Josi Davis - Voice Instructor, Piano Instructor, Kinderband! Instructor, Ensemble Coach.
Josi Davis is a multi-talented musician, songwriter, performer, teacher, and coach. 

She specializes in voice/instrument integration, performance and audition preparation, harmonization and vocal tracking, as well as piano to the advanced intermediate level, Kinderbands!, the Pop Vocals ensemble and workshops in Songwriting and Performance.  Josi's ability to perform in a variety of styles makes her a flexible teacher who brings out the best in her students.

Michael Frishman - Upright and Electric Bass Guitar, Ensemble Coach, Recording Instructor
Mike Frishman is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music with forty years of professional performance and teaching experience.  He teaches all levels of bass guitar in multiple styles, including rock, blues, and jazz.  Mike also teaches beginner guitar lessons and ensembles.  In addition to owning his own studio, Mike teaches recording workshops here at String Theory. 
David Brensilver - Percussion Instructor

David Brensilver has performed with orchestras in the United States and abroad and has worked with rock, jazz, and blues groups. David has degrees from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University (bachelor of music, 1992) and The Juilliard School (master of music, 1994) and was a student at the Aspen Music Festival and School during the summers of 1990, 1991, and 1992. David was the soloist with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra when the orchestra performed Russell Peck’s timpani concerto Harmonic Rhythm in November 2000. In 1992, David performed Darius Milhaud’s Concerto for Percussion and Chamber Orchestra as the winner of that year’s Aspen Music Festival and School Percussion Concerto Competition. David was a member of the Juilliard Orchestra when, in 1994, the orchestra accompanied The Who’s Roger Daltrey in “Roger Daltrey Sings Pete Townshend,” a program at Carnegie Hall that featured appearances by The Who’s Pete Townshend and John Entwistle, Eddie Vedder, Alice Cooper, David Sanborn, the Spin Doctors, Sinead O’Connor, and others.
Rufus Davis - Piano Instructor

Rufus "Baby Grand" Davis has played for many across the nation.  A native of New London, CT, Rufus began playing music at the age of five.  After graduating from Robert E. Fitch high school (Groton, CT) he started his professional career conducting at Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT) and moved on to continue his education at Bridgeport University.

He has assisted in rehearsals for both the London Symphony Orchestra and the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra.  He has toured the country with the National Theater for the Performing Arts and has performed at the Coast Guard Academy for special government service events.  He is the musical director and pianist for St Johns Christian Church (Groton, CT).  He currently plays for several bands including the J Hunter Group, Red Satin Band, Up Jump Swing Band, and the Baby Grand Davis Ensemble.  He is also the resident pianist for Foxwoods Resort & Casino.
