You're in the band . . .
String Theory is not your average music school. With opportunities for players aged 2 to 102, we offer all of the quality you would expect from a traditional music school along with all of the flexibility of a music store. Combine this with some of the most talented and dynamic teachers in the area, and you're in for a great time.
When you are a String Theory Student, you are in the band. You can take advantage of our amazing Band Coaches in one of our many group programs, of course, but we'll do you one better. At String Theory, any Student can perform along with the house band, comprised of your instructors! No need to spend all that time in the garage. We've got you covered. Can't believe it? Check out the featured video above, or click on our YouTube link to see just what we mean.
If you want a top quality education, opportunities to play with and learn from performers, and a relaxed atmosphere, then String Theory is the place for you.
We offer quality private instruction for guitar, bass guitar, voice, piano, violin, viola, saxaphone, clarinet, flute, and drums.
Rock and Jazz bands, Vocal groups, as well as a Classical Guitar Ensemble run each semester. We are also pleased to offer our weekly tot program, Kinderband!
Philosophy
String Theory School of Music is a student-centered school, where everyone is allowed and encouraged to progress at the pace which is right for them.
We use a flexible variety of methods to provide a comprehensive approach to music education while respecting the needs of each player. In addition to an emphasis on the fundamentals of musicianship, (reading, writing, and music theory), we teach and encourage students to improvise and perform in a variety of styles.
Since Application is the most critical part of the learning process, Monthly Coffee Houses give String Theory students informal opportunities to rehearse and perform in a warm and supportive atmosphere. Also, participation in our ensemble programs provides regular group playing experience and invaluable insight from our Ensemble Coaches, who are performers.
Our dynamic staff of instructors are always looking for ways in which our students can achieve their personal musical goals, because at String Theory, Life is Music!
